Manhole cover in the trunk floor
- 1 - cover fastening screw;
- 2 - hatch cover;
- 3 - wire
Fuel gauge sensor
- 1 - connecting block;
- 2 - fuel level sensor
Fuel gauge
- 1 - adjusting screw;
- 2 - fuel gauge
Order of execution
1. Open the trunk and take out the floor mat.
2. Unscrew the three screws and remove the manhole cover to gain access to the fuel level sensor.
3. Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel level sensor.
4. Install an additional resistor with a resistance of 544 ohms between the contacts of the block. In this case, the arrow of the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster should be at the beginning of the scale (empty tank).
5. Replace the additional resistor with an additional 60 ohm resistor.
In this case, the instrument needle should deviate to the end of the scale (full tank).
6. Both extreme positions of the arrow are indicated on the scale by two dots (instrument error). The arrow should be between the points at the beginning and end of the scale.
7. If this does not happen, you need to adjust the position of the arrow with a screw located under the dial of the device. If the pointer cannot be adjusted, it must be replaced.
