Replacing the reflective element of a mirror with a mechanical drive

Execution order
Manual drive
1. Pry it up from below with a plastic or wooden spatula and, using a hard plastic wedge or a narrow screwdriver, turn the reflective element of the mirror towards the door.
2. Disconnect the spring from the reflective element.
3. Press the latch clamps down and remove the reflective element from the adjustment mechanism.
4. Install the reflective element in the latch.
5. Connect the spring to the reflective element.
6. Turn the reflective element back to its original position and carefully press it onto the ball pin, applying force only to the central part of the element.
Electric drive with current heating

7. Turn the locking ring (2) through the mounting hole at the bottom of the mirror housing (1) towards the vehicle, thereby unlocking the reflective element.
8. Carefully remove the reflective element, disconnecting the heating system wires from it.
9. Connect the heating system wires to the reflective element.
10. Insert the reflective element into the mirror housing and secure it with the retaining ring. The pin on the retaining ring should be in the middle of the mounting hole.
