Warning: This operation is best performed using tool 2069. If you do not have it, proceed as described in subsection "Disassembly and assembly of a telescopic stand".
To perform the work, it is not necessary to lift the front of the vehicle.
Remove the protective cap from the telescopic stand.
Loosen the shock absorber rod nut.
Mark the position of the upper strut mount to maintain the front camber angle, then remove the strut mount.
Turn the steering wheel to position the shock absorber rod so that it is centered relative to the upper support plate.
Remove the washer and compression buffer from the shock absorber rod.
Remove the cap and the protective cover of the round washer by inserting your hand between the coils of the spring.
Unscrew the round nut using tool 2069.
Remove the shock absorber.
Installation
Install the shock absorber in the reverse order of removal. When installing, replace the shock absorber rod nut and tighten the new nut to a torque of 6.0 kgf·m.
