In our descriptions we rely on the installation method used by the manufacturer.
Make sure there is a security number code - for car radios with anti-theft coding.
Disconnect the battery.
Insert the release bracket (sometimes included with built-in car radio) into the four holes in the corners of the front panel and pull the car radio out of the center console.
Or insert four suitable nails or pieces of wire into the holes and use them to release the mounting springs.
Pull the car radio forward, carefully prying it with a screwdriver if necessary.
Remove the wire and antenna connectors.
When installing, make sure that the car radio's mounting pin at the back fits into the eyelet provided for this purpose in the dashboard. To do this, hold the car radio absolutely horizontally.
Press the radio slightly into the mounting hole until the mounting springs snap into place.
Enter the number code for car radio models with anti-theft coding according to the operating instructions.
Hint: The security code will also need to be re-entered if the battery is disconnected, the car radio fuse is replaced, or the car radio power supply wires are disconnected.
