How severe the collision was is recorded by the trigger unit, located in front under the central console. The trigger unit also triggers the "ignition tablet" in the steering wheel. By the way, the airbag only protects in combination with seat belts, but in no case can it replace them. It only protects against head injuries caused by the rim of the steering wheel.
