Opening the engine compartment hood (Audi 100 C3)

Bonnet lock safety hook

1 – safety hook;

2 – hood latch

To open the hood, pull the hood lock handle located under the instrument panel on the left: the hood will rise.

Move the hood lock safety catch to the right and open the hood completely.

To close the hood, simply lower it and press the front part of the hood until it clicks. It is not recommended to slam the hood sharply, with a blow, to avoid damaging the lock.
