Removal
Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.
Unscrew the lower screws A (Fig. 2.4) securing the engine compartment mudguard.
Unscrew screws B (Fig. 2.4) securing the engine compartment mudguard from the wheel arch side and remove the mudguard.
If there is a rear additional mudguard D (Fig. 2.5), unscrew screws C.
Remove the rear additional mudguard.
Installation
Install the engine splash shield and secure it with self-tapping screws.
Lower the car.
Cars with diesel engine 2.5-I
Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.
Remove the self-tapping screws and retaining pins that secure the lower engine splash shield (see fig. 2.6).
Remove the front and, if present, rear parts of the mudguard.
