Withdrawal
Place the car on a lift.
Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Remove the upper bolts securing the gearbox to the cylinder block
Disconnect the flexible speedometer drive shaft from the gearbox.
Loosen the clutch cable and disconnect it from the lever on the gearbox.
Disconnect the front muffler pipe and its mounting brackets.
Disconnect the front wheel drive shafts from the differential output shaft flanges.
Disconnect the electrical wires from the gearbox.
Remove the lower protective cover of the clutch housing.
Remove the starter.
Disconnect the link rod from the gearshift lever
With the ball head disconnected, remove the shift lever.
Place the gearbox on a jack or stand.
Loosen the lower gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Separate the gearbox from the engine.
Remove the gearbox.
Installation
Before installing the gearbox, make sure the clutch disc is properly centered, the engine rear shield is in the correct position, and apply a thin layer of grease to the splines of the gearbox input shaft.
Replace the gearbox.
Install the lower gearbox to engine bolts and the gearbox bracket to front subframe bolts.
Install the shift linkage and shift fork drive lever without tightening the fasteners.
Install the lower clutch housing cover.
Install the wheel drives on the differential output shaft flanges, tighten the fastening bolts to the required torque.
Install the muffler downpipe with a new gasket between the flanges.
Lower the lift.
Attach the clutch cable to the clutch release fork lever.
Attach the flexible speedometer drive shaft.
Install the upper gearbox-to-engine bolts.
Tighten the parts for attaching the transmission suspension bracket to the body.
Adjust the gearshift drive.
Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
Adjust the clutch pedal free play.
