Tightening torques of main threaded connections, kgf·m



Cylinder head mounting bolts: 1st step: 4.0; 2nd reception: 6.0; Step 3: Turn 180°.

Crankshaft timing pulley mounting stud nuts: 35.0.

Coolant pump mounting stud nuts: 2.0.

Camshaft timing pulley mounting bolts: 8.0.

Nuts for fastening studs of camshaft bearing housings: 2.0.

Connecting rod cap bolt nut: 5.0.

Main bearing cap mounting bolt: 6.5.

Flywheel mounting bolt (apply a special glue to the threads first): 7,5*.

Oil pump to cylinder block mounting bolts: long bolts: 2.0; short bolts: 1.0.

Pressure reducing valve plug: 4.0.

Cylinder head cover mounting stud nuts: 1.0.

Gearbox to engine mounting bolts: M12: 6.0; M10: 4.5; M8: 2.0.

Powertrain suspension bracket mounting bolts - 4.5.

* Since 1989, flywheel mounting bolts without a flange are tightened to a torque of 7.5 kgf·m after applying special glue to the thread. Re-use of flange bolts is not allowed. Apply special glue to the threads of new flange bolts and tighten them first to a torque of 3.0 kgf·m, then turn them by 90°.
