Tightening torques of main threaded connections, kgf·m



Cylinder head mounting bolts: 1st step - 4.0; 2nd reception - 6.0; 3rd step - tighten half a turn (180°).

Crankshaft timing pulley mounting bolt: 20.0*.

Nuts for fastening studs of camshaft bearing housings: 2.0.

Camshaft timing pulley mounting bolt: 8.0.

Belt tensioner mounting stud nut 4.5.

Intermediate shaft toothed pulley mounting bolt: 8.0.

Main bearing cap mounting bolt: 6.5.

Flywheel mounting bolt (after applying a special glue to the threads): 7,5**.

Connecting rod cap bolt nut: 1st step - 3.0; 2nd step - tighten half a turn (180°).

Gearbox to engine mounting bolts: 5.5.

Bolts for fastening the powertrain suspension bracket to the cylinder block:
  • M10: 4.5;
  • M8: 2.5.

Spark plugs: 2.0.

* Since 1989, new flywheel mounting bolts have been used and cannot be reused. Apply special glue to the bolt threads before tightening. Tightening torque: 1st step: 3.0 kgf·m. 2nd step: turn further by 90°.

** Since 1989, a new crankshaft toothed pulley mounting bolt has been used, which cannot be reused. Before tightening, lubricate the threads and the bearing surface of the bolt head with engine oil. Do not install a spacer washer. Tightening torque: 1st step: 9.0 kgf.m; 2nd step: turn 90°.
