Warning: When drying paintwork in a drying chamber or by local thermal heating, it is necessary to protect it from high temperatures or remove plastic parts (radiator grille, taillights, etc.).
Removal dirt
Removal of contaminants from the paintwork should be carried out as quickly as possible using the following cleaning materials:
- 10% aqueous solution of oxalic acid for removing metal oxides;
- 4% aqueous solution of acetic acid for removing cement stains;
- bird droppings remover wax;
- alcohol or turpentine to remove tree sap;
- white spirit to remove paint stains or drops of anti-corrosion agents used to protect the bottom of the car body.
Body repainting
Before applying paint and varnish coatings, the surface prepared for painting should be primed with a universal primer such as, for example, the putty "Universei" Corona. Acrylic paints and varnishes can be used as paints and varnishes (including two-component) or synthetic varnishes, as well as enamels.
Treatment of internal cavities using a sprayer (see photo)
1. Insert the feed tube inside the side member.
2. Treat the inner surface of the side member to the level of the anti-roll bar.
3. Treat the inner surface of the wheel housing reinforcement.
4. Remove the seat belt and treat the rear wing panel.
5. Insert the feed tube into the rear part of the body bottom.
6. Treat the inner surface of the crossbar through the side holes.
