1. This Section includes engine removal procedures and basic engine overhaul procedures.
2. Provides information on preparation for overhaul, purchasing replacement parts, and the sequence of procedures for removing, inspecting, rebuilding, and installing internal engine components.
3. Starting from Chapters 5, all instructions provided assume that the engine has already been removed from the vehicle. Information regarding in-vehicle engine repair, as well as procedures for removing and installing external components, is provided in Section 1A, and also in Chapter 6.
