Removal
Raise and securely support the vehicle.
Using a scriber, mark the position of the driveshaft relative to the gearbox flange and rear differential.
Remove the propeller shaft flange mounting bolts from both ends of the shaft and remove the propeller shaft. Remove the center bearing bolts.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Cardan joints are not replaced. If they are damaged or worn, replace the shaft assembly.
Align the marks made during removal and install the propeller shaft.
Tighten the bolts of the connecting flanges of the cardan shaft with the gearbox and differential to a torque of 53 Nm. Tighten the bolts of the central bearing of the cardan shaft to the body to a torque of 19 Nm.
