The Audi service plan only includes a few lubrication jobs on the car body. Keep in mind the basic rule: joints with narrow passages, into which plastic grease gets with great difficulty, are better lubricated with oil or lubricating spray, rubbing open surfaces are better lubricated with consistent grease, because these greases hold better.

Doors and trunk lid

  • Audi door hinges are maintenance-free. However, it is still best to lubricate them with a little oil from time to time.
  • It is better to lubricate the small door stop levers of the lower door hinge with a general-purpose grease.
  • Door locks, trunk lids or fifth door can be treated with aerosol lubricant.
  • You can spray a small amount of oil on the trunk lid hinges.

Lock cylinders

  • At a minimum, before the onset of cold weather, you should spray the lock slot with an insulating and rust-removing spray.
  • It lubricates, displaces moisture and protects against rust and freezing in winter.

Hood

  • Apply a little plastic grease to the place where the cable drive comes out of the casing and pull it into the casing by pressing the lever several times.
  • The bonnet locking pins and both bonnet closing levers should be lubricated with a small amount of plastic grease or a lubricating spray.
  • The hood hinges and latches should be lubricated with oil or lubricating spray.

Luke

  • Treat the guides with a small amount of lubricating spray.
  • The grease should not get on the upholstery of the hatch and ceiling, remove excess grease.
