The maintenance plan almost does not provide for lubrication work on the body. But it is known that lubrication of body elements affects their service life, ease of operation, absence of creaking, jamming, appearance of rust and cracks.

Attention! All joints and rods with gaps, into which it is undesirable for consistent lubricant to get, should be lubricated with oil, or better yet, sprayed with aerosol lubricant. Open friction surfaces are best lubricated with consistent lubricant, which provides better sliding.

Doors and trunk lid

Door hinges AUDI 80 hinges are not subject to lubrication. However, it is recommended to spray them with aerosol lubricant occasionally.

Lubricate the small door stop levers near the lower door hinges with multi-purpose grease.

Door, trunk, or tailgate locks can be lubricated with a small amount of spray lubricant.

Apply a small amount of oil to the trunk lid hinge.

Lock switches

At the beginning of each cold season, apply protective and anti-corrosion lubricant from an aerosol can to the key slot in the lock switch. This lubricant protects the switches from moisture, rust formation and freezing in the winter.

Hood

Apply a little grease to the place where the rod exits the casing and move the hood release lever several times to make the rod move easily in the casing.

Apply a small amount of lubricant or spray from an aerosol can to the hood latch and hood lock pin and hood hinge

Luke

Apply a very thin layer of grease to the sunroof guide rails, being careful not to stain the roof lining.
