Permanent check
Turn on the ignition and test all the lighting fixtures one by one:
parking light (dimensions), low beam, built-in fog lights (if any), distant light.
Front direction indicators on the right, left, as well as emergency light signaling.
Rear lights and license plate lights, as well as a rear fog lamp.
Rear direction indicators, hazard warning lights, reversing lights.
Stoplights, however, you will need an assistant for this.
Hint: Attentive drivers check the lighting system on almost every night trip. A burned out headlight bulb is visible in the narrow band of light in front of the vehicle. When driving in a convoy, the bumper or lacquer coating of the front car reflects the light of the headlights and front «turn signals». In front of a light wall, you can check, without getting out of the car, whether the two light points are visible and whether the turn signal flashes orange. A light-colored wall can also be used to test the rear lights.
