Short high beam signal (Audi 100 C4)

Whether the ignition and headlights are on or off, the high beam filament and high beam indicator always flash when you pull the turn signal lever toward you. If the light does not flash, although the headlights are on when the lights are on:

Remove the lever switches (Chapter "Instruments and auxiliary devices").

Use a test lamp to check for power in the red wire of terminal 30, through which the switch is powered.

If there is voltage, then the high beam light signal contact may be faulty. The entire element with the lever switches should be replaced.
