Brake system maintenance (before August 1985) (Audi 100 C3)

Every 15,000 km of mileage it is necessary:

1. Check the tightness of the brake hydraulic drive. If brake fluid is leaking, tighten the nuts securing the brake hoses and tubes. If cracks, tears, etc. are visible on the hoses, replace the hoses. If any hose swells when you press the brake pedal, this means that the braiding threads have torn. Such a hose should also be replaced.

2. Check the condition of the parking brake cables. If there is damage to the casings or the cables themselves, they are replaced.

3. Check the condition of the brake pads of the front and rear brake mechanisms. Worn pads must be replaced simultaneously on the left and right wheels.

Replace the brake fluid in the brake hydraulic drive once every 2 years during the next maintenance. It is recommended to perform this operation in the spring.
