Connect the stroboscope and tachometer according to the operating instructions.
Marks for setting the ignition timing on the flywheel and clutch housing
Start the engine and let it idle. Direct the flashing light of the strobe light into the clutch housing hatch. If the ignition timing is set correctly, the timing mark on the flywheel should be opposite the lug on the clutch housing. To adjust the ignition timing, loosen the lock nut of the distributor flange and, by turning the distributor housing, align the marks.
Tighten the ignition distributor flange retaining nut.
