The characteristics of the starting injector are checked on a cold engine.
Disconnect the pilot pressure regulator and auxiliary air valve connectors.
Disconnect the block from the starting injector.
Connect a voltmeter to the plugs of the starting injector block.
Briefly turn on the starter and measure the voltage, which should be at least 11.5 V.
Connect the block to the starting injector.
Place the nozzle in the beaker.
Turn on the starter and note the duration of fuel injection with the starting injector, which on a cold engine, depending on the air temperature, should be within 1-8 s.
In case of deviation from the norm, check the serviceability of the thermal time switch and the starting injector, and, if necessary, replace them.
