The fuel pump is attached with two nuts through a heat-insulating spacer and an O-ring. Pump body and cover are one-piece, i.e. The design of the fuel pump is non-separable and cannot be repaired.
Attach gauge hoses to carburetor and fuel pump.
Start the engine and measure the discharge pressure on the manometer: it should be in the range of 0.20-0.25 kg/cm2.
The pressure at the outlet of the fuel pump is not adjustable. If the pressure drops below the acceptable level, replace the fuel pump.
