Removal the high pressure fuel pump (Audi Q5-8R)

Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft and injection pump toothed pulleys. Remove the fuel metering valve connector "N₂90". Remove the high-pressure fuel line "4". To do this, unscrew the union nuts of the injection pump "1" and the fuel rail "5". Unscrew the fastening screws of the high-pressure fuel line "arrow".



Disconnect fuel lines "2" and "3" from the high-pressure fuel pump. Unscrew the "arrow" screws of the fuel line brackets. Avoid bending the fuel lines. Remove the toothed pulley from the high-pressure fuel pump.



Holding the fuel injection pump hub with the "T10051" stop, loosen the tightening of its fastening nut "1".



Install the puller "T40064" with the stop "T40064/1" and the pin "T40064/2" as shown in the figure, and remove the hub from the fuel injection pump. If necessary, use a 24 mm wrench to hold it.





Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel injection pump "arrow". Carefully remove the fuel injection pump.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Install the high-pressure pump toothed belt. Install the high-pressure pipes. Before starting the engine for the first time, the high-pressure pump must be filled with fuel. Dry operation of the pump is not allowed.
