When removing or replacing fuel system components and assemblies located between the tank and the high-pressure fuel pump, it is necessary to remove air from the system by performing the basic installation "Checking the fuel booster pump". If the additional fuel pump was removed or replaced, the fuel line (between the tank and the fuel injection pump) or fuel filter, before the first start of the engine it is necessary to perform the basic setting "Checking the fuel booster pump". To fill the fuel system it is necessary to follow the following procedure: Connect - Tester. Turn on the ignition. In the Self-diagnosis mode, select "Used engine". Then select "Basic setting". Select "Checking the fuel booster pump" from the list. Press the "Start" button. The fuel pumps turn on. Let the fuel pumps run for about 1 minute to ensure that the fuel system is filled with fuel. To repeat the basic setting, turn the ignition off and on again. The basic setting will resume. After filling the fuel system, start the engine. Let the engine run for several minutes at medium speed, then turn it off. Check the fuel system for leaks. Delete error records from the event recorder. Then perform a test drive with at least one acceleration under full load, and once again check the high-pressure circuit of the fuel system for leaks. If there is air left in the fuel system, the engine may go into emergency mode during the test drive. Turn off the engine and clear the errors from the event recorder. Then continue the test drive. Query the event recorder.
