Withdrawal
1. Unscrew the radiator fan with a viscous coupling, holding its hub from turning with a second wrench (see illustration).

2. Remove the front left and right parts of the protective cover of the gas distribution mechanism.
3. Remove the manifold intake pipe (see points 3.1-3.9).
4. Remove the cap from the oil filler neck.
5. Turn the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation until the inscription appears in the oil filler hole «FROM» (top dead center) on the camshaft (see illustration).

6. Screw in instead of the plug the locking pin, catalog number of which is 3242, and lock the crankshaft at the TDC of the piston of cylinder No. 1 (see illustration).
2.6. Replace the plug with a locking pin, catalog number 3242, and lock the crankshaft at the TDC of the piston of cylinder No. 1
7. Remove the timing belt (see relevant chapter).
8. Disconnect the high pressure fuel pump plug, then unscrew the nuts securing the high pressure fuel pump supply and return fuel lines.
9. Unscrew nuts of fastening of giving fuel lines to atomizers.
10. Unscrew the mounting bolts (see arrows in illustration) and carefully remove the injection pump without disconnecting the fuel lines from it.

11. Unscrew the fastening nuts and disconnect the fuel lines from the injection pump, having previously marked them.
Installation
High pressure fuel pump installation (injection pump) performed in the reverse order of removal.
