Remove the engine cover. Remove the soundproofing casing from the valve cover. Mark the injectors as belonging to the cylinders. Nozzles may only be reinstalled in their original locations (cylinders). Immediately close open connectors with suitable plugs. Disconnect the return lines from the injectors by pressing both tabs downwards and at the same time pulling the middle part upwards -arrow- until they unlock. Disconnect el. connectors -1- from removable injectors. Unscrew the union nuts of the high pressure fuel lines using a socket wrench -T40055- from the injectors. Unscrew the union nuts of the high pressure fuel lines using a socket wrench SW 17 -VAG 1331/6-from fuel. ramps.
Unscrew the injector caps -arrows-. Lift the covers and turn them 90°. If you loosen the injector mounting nuts carelessly, there is a high probability that they will fall inside the cylinder head. Proceed very carefully to avoid unplanned installation work later and to avoid subsequent damage to the engine.
Unscrew the screws and remove the injector pressure plates -arrows-.
Install the puller -T10055- with adapter -T10055/1 - as shown in the figure and remove the injector from the socket with light blows. Place the removed injectors on a clean cloth.
