Lambda probe parts and components 1. Turbocharger, with turbocharger guide vane position sender -G581-; 2. Lambda probe -G39- with lambda probe heating element -Z19-, new lambda probes are lubricated with mounting paste; when installing used lambda probes, only their threads may be lubricated with refractory grease. Do not allow assembly or refractory grease to get into the grooves of the lambda probe housing, 50 Nm; 3. Exhaust gas temperature sensor 3-G495-, 45 N'M; 4. Exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450-, tighten screw to 4.5 Nm. Pressure lines to the particulate filter 45 Nm; 5. Exhaust gas temperature sensor 4 -G648-, 45 N'M; 6. Particulate filter, after replacing the particulate filter it is necessary to carry out adaptation. Use a tester for this; 7. Exhaust temperature sensor 1-G235-, 45 Nm
Removing exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450-
Exhaust gas pressure sender 1 -G450- measures the pressure upstream and downstream of the diesel particulate filter via 2 lines. Exhaust gas pressure sender 1 -G450- indicates whether the diesel particulate filter is full. Remove the engine cover. Treat hoses of exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450- with solvent before removing. Disconnect connector -3- from exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450-. Carefully and evenly remove the hoses from the fittings (The connections for exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450- are very fragile). Unscrew bolt -4- and remove exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450-.
Installation
When installing, observe the following rules: Blow the hoses of exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450- to the diesel particulate filter with compressed air in the direction of the diesel particulate filter before installation (clean from condensation or frozen moisture). Check the reliability of the connection and the tightness of the hoses. If the pressure lines on the particulate filter become loose, tighten them to a torque of 45 Nm. After replacing exhaust pressure sensor 1 -G450- and/or the diesel particulate filter, an adaptation must be carried out.
