Injectors — removal and installation (Audi 80 B4)

1. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose to the brake booster from the intake manifold.

2. Disconnect the idle speed control valve together with the holder.

3. Remove the mounting bolts and detach the retaining bracket between the intake manifold and the cylinder head cover.

4. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose to the fuel pressure reducing valve.

5. Disconnect the supply and return hoses from the fuel distributor. Be careful! The hoses may be under residual pressure.

6. Disconnect the central injector power plug on the wiring harness, as well as the plug for each injector.

7. Disconnect the panel covering the injector power supply wiring harness.

8. Remove the fuel distributor mounting bolts.

9. Remove the distributor together with the injectors.

10. Remove the mounting brackets and remove the injector from the distributor.

When installing, replace all damaged gaskets, sealing rings and injector inserts (in the cylinder head).

11. Lubricate all rubber parts before installing them. Install the fuel distributor in place with the injectors screwed in.
