Automatic Transmission Oil Level Check Frequency (Audi 100 C3)

Check the ATF oil level in the transmission housings every 15,000 km. To check, tighten the handbrake, let the engine idle, and set the selector lever to "neutral".

Remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth. Lower the dipstick into the crankcase until it stops, remove it again and check the oil level. It should be between the two marks on the dipstick.



If you notice a significant decrease or increase in the oil level, contact a service station immediately.

Oil change

The oil in the torque converter is not subject to replacement. Change the oil in the gearbox every 45,000 km or more often if the vehicle is used in mountainous areas.
