Turning on reverse gear
Reverse gear can only be engaged when the vehicle is stationary. The lever must be pressed down, and the reversing lights should light up.
E and 5th gears are engaged in the same position as reverse gear, but in the 3/4 gear plane (i.e. without pressing the lever).
Note: Do not keep your hand on the gearshift lever while driving: the pressure from your hand is transferred to the gearbox and leads to increased wear of the mechanism.
When shifting from E or 5th gear to 4th, do not apply force to the lever in any direction, as 2nd gear may be engaged by mistake. As a result, the engine may overload.
