Rear Door Wiper Motor (Avant) — Removal and Installation (Audi 100 C3)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the windshield wiper arm as described in Chapter 17.

3. Carefully remove the trim cover around the engine from inside the rear door, lift up the wiring connector (photo).



4. Separate the halves of the wiring connector.

5. From the outside, unscrew the spindle lock nut, remove the washers and seals; note their location.

6. From the inside, unscrew the screw and bolts securing the engine to the mounting frame, remove the engine from the rear door (photo).





7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
