MOT No. 22
The drive shaft joints are protected by rubber cuffs (anthers) from moisture and dirt. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check these cuffs for cracks.
Raise one drive wheel accordingly and secure the vehicle.
Slowly rotate the appropriate shaft while inspecting the seal for cracks or holes. Leaks can also be indicated by traces of grease.
Are the clamps tight?
Damaged cuffs should be replaced as soon as possible, otherwise penetrating water will destroy the hinges, and replacing them is quite an expensive undertaking!
