Checking the tightening of wheel bolts (Audi 100 C4)

Each time you install wheels, you should check after a few kilometers that the wheel bolts are tightened correctly.

The tightening torque of the bolts is 110 Nm, do not tighten them additionally with an extended wrench. The tightening torque indicator refers to a serviceable, slightly lubricated thread.

Tightening the brakes too tightly or unevenly can cause the brake discs or drums to become misaligned. This will result in uneven braking action, vibration when braking, and spot or flat tire wear.
