Do not replace the needle bearing! New needle bearings have a full set of rollers.
The pressure plate with the clutch disc is removed from the dual mass flywheel.

In this case, it is necessary to replace the dual mass flywheel. After removing the dual mass flywheel, always replace the needle bearing. Removing the radial shaft seal from the dual mass flywheel. Install the puller with internal grip "A" in the seal area. "arrow" rings into the needle bearing and secure it.
A. Internal puller 23.5...30 mm, for example, -Kukko 21/4-.
Once completed, install the "VW 554" spacer on the internal grip puller and press out the needle bearing.
Pressing the dual mass flywheel needle bearing until it stops
Risk of damage to the dual mass flywheel. The dual mass flywheel dowel pins may be damaged when pressing in the needle bearing. The dual mass flywheel may only be supported at the center under the support point of the needle bearing. Remove residual grease from the dual mass flywheel hole with a dry cloth. Support the dual mass flywheel on the VW 511 pressure plate directly below the bearing mounting location. Install the small diameter "30-11" pressure plate into the "A" needle bearing. The side of the needle bearing with the inscription (large thickness of steel) in this case it should be facing the pressure plate. Carefully press the needle bearing until it stops.
