By turning the engine crankshaft in the direction of its working rotation using the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt, set the piston of the first cylinder to the top dead center (TDC).

Make sure that the mark on the crankshaft pulley is aligned with the pointer on the housing (see Fig. 3.1–51).

Fix the crankshaft in this position. To fix the crankshaft, unscrew the ignition timing sensor from the cylinder block and screw in the adjusting screw 3242 instead (see Fig. 3.1–53).
Unscrew the bolts and carefully remove the flywheel.
Install the flywheel in the reverse order of removal, using new bolts for its fastening. Tightening torque for the flywheel fastening bolts: 60 Nm + turn by 180°.
