Audi A4 with identification number 8K-9-066500: aluminum bolts "2.11" are used twice. Therefore, after single use of the bolts, make 2 notches "X" "arrow". To avoid damaging the bolts, do not clamp them in a vice. Insert the bolt as shown in the illustration into the 14 mm socket with a 1/2-inch extension, the other end of which is clamped in a hand vice (as shown in the picture).

Bolts marked with "X" must not be reused.
Instructions: Replace bolts that were tightened with additional turning. Replace self-locking nuts, lip seals, gaskets and seals. rings. On cars with the multitronic 0AW gearbox, a needle bearing is installed in the driven disk. Before installing the disc, make sure the needle bearing is already installed. Pressing in and pressing out a needle bearing from a driven disk. Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the appropriate series. To ensure reliable fastening of the air duct hoses to the fittings, during reassembly, all cable ties should be installed in the places where they were originally installed.
Install the engine mounts and engine cushion. When connecting the engine and subframe, hold the ATF hydraulic lines in the mounting position. Be sure to clean the threaded holes for securing the power unit in the cylinder block before assembling the transmission with a tap. Before securing the engine to the transmission, do the following: Insert the "T40169" installation tool from below into the transmission housing and install the flywheel as shown in the figure. The auxiliary tool should fit into the semicircular recess "1" and the additional tool into the inspection hole "2." To locate the inspection hole, turn the flywheel. Insert the mounting fixture bolts into the hole on the gearbox.

Insert the transport fastening "T40170" bracket from below into the gearbox housing and secure the bracket to the axle shaft with flange "1".

Check the presence of bushings in the cylinder block for centering "A" of the engine and gearbox; if necessary, insert the missing bushings. If necessary, check the possibility of reusing the aluminum engine mounting bolts on the gearbox and mark them. Install the gearbox onto the engine and tighten bolts "1...11." Remove the transport bracket "T40170" and mounting fixture "T40169." The next step is necessary. so that the dual-mass flywheel fits evenly against the driven disk and does not become warped. Lightly press the dual mass flywheel "2" with the crowbar "1" to the driven disk "3", see "direction of the arrow".

Secure the dual mass flywheel to the driven disk as follows. Use a 16 mm ring spanner to tighten the bolts "VAG 1332/14". Screw in the first "arrow" bolt by hand (2 Nm).

Insert the guide pins of the adapter "T40058" as shown below: the large diameter "arrow 1" faces the engine, the small diameter "arrow 2" faces the adapter. Turn the crankshaft using the adapter "T40058" 180° in the direction of engine rotation "arrow". In this crankshaft position, tighten the accessible bolts to the specified torque. Turn the crankshaft 60° and tighten the remaining 5 bolts to the specified tightening torque. Install the power steering hydraulic lines. Bolt the left and right drive shafts to the transmission flanged axle shafts. Install the exhaust manifold. Raise the engine and gearbox using the lifting table -VAS 6131 A-.

Position the subframe and gearbox bracket according to the markings made on the side members during dismantling. Tighten the subframe bolts to the specified torque, but do not tighten them at an angle (tightening only after measuring the wheel alignment angles). If the subframe bolts are not fully tightened, the car cannot be moved.

Tighten the tunnel crossmember bolts. Installation in reverse order. Tighten the universal joint mounting bolts to the steering gear. Install the front muffler. Install the exhaust system. without stress. Install the front cross member. Install the subframe brace, upper suspension arm, stabilizer, tighten the shock absorber strut mounting bolts on the support arm. Install brake. support. Install the engine control unit. Electrical connections and wiring. Install the wires, the 2-way splitter 30 "TV22" and the cover of the motor junction box. compartment. Install the stretcher. Install the washer reservoir filler neck. Install refrigerant lines. Follow the instructions after connecting the battery terminals. Do not use a battery charger to start the engine! Install the air intake housing. filters. Install the radiator frame crossbars. Fill with oil and check the oil level. Before starting the engine for the first time, fill the power steering expansion tank with hydraulic oil. The power steering pump must not run dry. Connect the coolant hose using a coupling.

Fill with coolant. Fill the air conditioning circuit. Aligning the subframe. Install wheel arches. Install the front wheels and adjust the wheel alignment angles. Tighten the subframe bolts after checking the wheel alignment angles. Fill with ATF. Install soundproofing screens.
