Poly V-belt drive



1. Poly V-belt: check the degree of wear; before removing, mark the direction of travel with chalk…

1. Poly V-belt: check the degree of wear; before removing, mark the direction of travel with chalk or a felt-tip pen; don't overdo it; when installing, ensure correct position on the pulleys.
2. Bolt: replace, 20 Nm + 90° (tighten further).
3. Generator.

5. Guide roller cover.
6. Poly V-belt guide roller: 40 Nm.
7. Bolt.
8. Belt drive pulley for water pump.
9. Bolt.
10. Water pump.
11/12. Bolt.
13. Bracket of the power steering pump.
14. Sliding sleeve.
15/16. Bolt.
17. Power steering pump.
18. Belt drive pulley for the power steering pump.
19. Bolt.
20. Poly V-belt tensioner: 40 Nm.
21. Compressor bracket: when installing, pay attention to the position of the mounting bushings.
22. Bolt: 20 Nm.
23. Air conditioning compressor: do not loosen/disconnect the refrigerant lines; when installing, observe the position of the installation bushings "pos. 25".
24. Bolt.
25. Mounting sleeve: 2 pieces.
26. Tension element cover.
27. Torsional vibration damper: with V-belt pulley; due to the offset holes, installation is only possible in one position.




Sealing flange on pulley side - last and tightening torque



Tighten the arrow bolts to a final torque of 9 Nm in stages, crosswise.

Removal



Remove the front noise insulation shield "1". There is a risk of damaging the previously used poly V-belt when changing it. Install in reverse order, adjusting its running direction. For reinstallation, before removing the poly V-belt, mark its direction of travel with chalk or a felt-tip pen. To release the poly V-belt, tilt the tensioner clockwise "arrow". Remove the poly V-belt and relieve the tensioner.

Installation



Installation in reverse order. Place the poly V-belt in the correct order on the pulleys.

When installing a poly V-belt, it is necessary to ensure that it is positioned correctly on the pulleys. Start the engine and check the belt operation. Install the front noise insulation screen.
