Stationary radios and office equipment
Radio stations
Permission is required for radio transmitters installed in the vehicle after the factory installation. The Audi Group generally permits the installation of radio transmitters under the following conditions:
Technically correct antenna installation, outdoor antenna installation (using shielded cable and antenna matching without reflection) and the effective power of the transmitter at the base of the antenna is not more than 10 watts.
Office equipment
It is allowed to install household appliances and office equipment, provided that they do not affect the direct control of the driver over the car, and also if they are marked «CE». Additional devices installed, the operation of which may affect the driver's control of the vehicle, must be authorized for use in this vehicle, as well as marked «e».
Warning: The subsequent installation of electrical or electronic devices is associated with the need for a permit to operate in a vehicle of this model and, under certain circumstances, may lead to the loss of the right to operate them.
Be sure to follow the operating instructions for mobile phones and radios.
Mobile radio transmitters
Operation of commercially available mobile phones or radios under the following conditions may result in malfunctions of the vehicle's electronics:
- no external antenna
- improperly installed outdoor antenna,
- radiation power more than 10 watts.
Therefore, mobile radiotelephones or walkie-talkies must not be used inside the car without or with an incorrectly installed external antenna.
In addition, only the outdoor antenna ensures the optimum range of the devices.
Warning: Be sure to follow the operating instructions for mobile phones and radios.
