If any work is to be carried out under the vehicle, the vehicle must be securely secured. The use of an onboard jack is only permissible when changing wheels. Carrying out repair and other work under the car in this case is prohibited. Life threatening!
Raise only an unloaded vehicle. Install supports under the bottom.
Car jack lifting points and supports
On the lower side member of the body there are characteristic places indicating the location of the front and rear nests for installing a jack (arrows in the illustration). Each wheel corresponds to only one socket. Jacking in other places is not allowed. The distance from the jack socket to the respective front wheel arch is approx. 15 cm and to the rear approx. 25 cm.
Lifting points and supports of the car jack.
Install the jack under the lower beam and, turning the handle, bring its lifting paw to such a height that the paw is directly under the vertically located edge of the spar.
Align the jack so that the lifting arm cams (A) covered the edge of the spar, and the movable heel (IN) rested the entire surface against the base.
Jack.
Raise the car by rotating the jack handle until the faulty wheel is off the ground.
Place wedges under the wheels left on the ground to prevent the vehicle from moving. Do not rely on the parking brake. When performing some repairs, the parking brake is released.
Reference points for lift and garage lift
Warning: Rubber or wood pads should be used to prevent damage to the underside of the vehicle. In no case should you lift the car, relying on the power unit, oil pan, front or rear suspension, because. this may cause serious damage.
Anchor points in front. They are located on the vertical reinforcement of the lower beam at the height of the mark for the board jack. The reinforcement of the lower beam must be in the center of the lift base plate.

Towing
The vehicle must only be towed using eyelets specially provided for this purpose.
Requirements must be met «Rules of the road» regarding towing.
The tow rope must be flexible so as not to damage both vehicles. Only rope made of synthetic fibers or similar elastic materials should be used. However, it is safer to use a tow bar!
Care must be taken at all times to ensure that unacceptably high tension does not occur, and at the same time that there is no significant rolling resistance of the vehicle.
When towing the vehicle on the edge of a dirt road, there is always a risk of drifting to the side of the road.
If possible, use another vehicle's battery to start the engine before trying to start the engine by towing - refer to the appropriate section.
Both drivers must be familiar with the handling of the vehicle when towing as outlined below and have sufficient experience. Inexperienced drivers should not be behind the wheel of either vehicle.
When using a tow rope, the driver of the towing vehicle must, when starting off and changing gears, particularly gently release the clutch pedal.
The driver of the vehicle being towed must ensure that the towing cable is constantly taut.
Both vehicles must have outdoor lights on in accordance with «traffic rules».
Ignition must be on so that the steering wheel does not lock up and you can turn on the turn signal, horn, wipers and washers if necessary.
The service brake drive booster performs its function only when the engine is running, therefore, when the engine is off it is necessary to press the brake pedal much harder when braking.
Since the power steering does not function when the engine is not running, it is necessary to apply more force to the steering wheel.
In the absence of oil in the vehicle, it is necessary to tow the car only with the drive wheels suspended.
Models with AT and all-wheel drive: It is not allowed to tow the car with raised front or rear wheels.
Models with manual transmission and all-wheel drive: If the vehicle is towed with the front or rear wheels raised, the towing speed must not exceed 50 km/h and the towing distance must not exceed 50 km.
Models with automatic transmission
Turn the key in the ignition switch to position 2.
Move the AT selector lever to position «N».
Maximum towing speed: 50 km/h.
Maximum towing range: 50 km.
Failure to comply with the maximum speed or towing range may result in damage to the transmission.
For long distances or in case of damage to the gearbox, towing is only allowed with the drive wheels hung out.
When towing with the front axle raised or checking the parking brake on the brake test stand, the engine must be off. Otherwise, due to the activation of the brakes by the electronic anti-skid system (ESP), damage to the rear axle brakes will occur.
Installing the towing cable/rod
Front towing eye
Take the towing eye from the vehicle tool kit, on the left side of the spare wheel opening.
Detach the cover (1). To do this, press your thumb down, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe foot (2) and press a little with your fingers at the top, releasing the cover (spring clamps).

Warning: After towing is complete, place the eye in the vehicle tool kit.
Connect the lid with a foot (2) below, press it from above and thus fix it. Rear towing eye
Execution 1: Screw in the rear towing eye in the same way as the front.
Execution 2: The towing eye is welded on from below under the bumper. Emergency start of the car by towing
On models with AT - it is impossible.
To prevent damage to the catalytic converter, it is not allowed to start the car with a warm engine by towing or pushing.
First try to start the engine with the battery of another vehicle.
Warning: Models with AT cannot be started by towing.
Models with gasoline engine can be towed in order to start the engine at a distance no more than 50 m, because otherwise there is a risk of damage to the catalytic converter.
