6-cylinder engine: The engine identification number is stamped on the inside of the right cylinder block between the cylinder head and the hydraulic pump (diesel engine: between cylinder head and high pressure fuel pump).
Warning: The engine identification number is also on a sticker on the timing belt cover. In addition, the engine identification code can be found on the vehicle data plate located in the spare wheel well or on the bottom of the luggage compartment and is listed in the service book.
