Heating, ventilation and air conditioning

Air blowers

The supply of normal, heated or cooled air to the passenger compartment is carried out through air blowers.

Air distribution is regulated by rotary regulator 3 - see figure.

Blowers 3 and 4 are opened and closed separately using handwheels located next to the blower grilles.

The vertical or horizontal direction of the flow is regulated by built-in flaps with handles for changing their position.

Governing bodies

Governing bodies

1 - Air intake fan switch

The air flow is regulated by 4 switch positions. In the "0" position, the air flow is interrupted.

2 - Air temperature switch

The supply air temperature is adjusted by turning the switch clockwise. To the right - the temperature increases, to the left - decreases.

3 - Air distribution switch - direction of air flow to the foot area

Open air blowers 5. It is advisable to close air blowers 3-4.

direction of air flows for heating, defrosting the windshield and side windows. To do this, open air blowers 1 and 2

blowers 1 and 2 are closed.

In this position of the regulator, air flows through blowers 3 and 4 and in small quantities through blower 5.

4 - Air conditioning switch (A/C)

When the air conditioner is turned on, the control lamp built into the switch lights up at the same time.

5 - Air circulation mode switch (REC)

The circulating air mode is activated when the air conditioner is running. In this mode, the air flow from outside stops and only the air from the car's interior begins to circulate.

Heating, defrosting of windshield and side windows

Turn switch 1 to position III.

Switch 2 - clockwise until it stops to the right.

Switch 3 - set to symbol - Close the blowers 4.

Adjust the direction of additional warm air flows through the air blowers 3 using the flaps towards the side windows.

Continuous blowing of warm air onto the windshield and side windows (drying, preventing fogging)

If the windows fog up due to high air humidity, for example during rain, the following procedure for regulating air flow is recommended:

Turn switch 1 to position II or III.

Set the temperature switch to the maximum level, if necessary.

Blowers 4 - close.

The optimal way to quickly heat the interior

Switch 1 - to position III.

Switch 3 - on symbol -

Temperature switch - all the way to the right. Blowers 3 and 4 - open.

Maintaining a constant comfortable temperature in the cabin

After the glass has dried and the required temperature has been set in the cabin, the following adjustment procedure is recommended:

Switch 1 - to position II or III.

Temperature switch 2 - to the desired temperature mode.

Switch 3 - on symbol -

Adjust blowers 3 and 4 to your liking.

Forced ventilation (fresh air intake)

The temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment through air blowers 3-4 is regulated by temperature mode switch 2. Depending on the position of the regulator, it can be normal, heated or cold.

When switch 3 is set to the symbol - the air will be pumped at maximum intensity.

Air cooling

The fastest way to lower the temperature in the cabin:

Close all windows and the sliding/tilting vent.

By pressing buttons 4 and 5, turn on the air conditioner in the interior air circulation mode.

Temperature switch 2 - all the way to the left.

Switch 1 - to position IIII.

Regulator 3 - on the symbol -

Open blowers 3 and 4 and adjust as desired.

At the same time, at least one of them must be constantly open, otherwise the cooling device may freeze.

The usual way to lower the cabin temperature

Press switches 4 or 4-5, the control lamps built into them should light up.

Use regulator 2 to select the appropriate temperature setting.

Set switch 1 to any position from I to IIII at your discretion. Rotary regulator 3 - to any position at your discretion. Open and adjust the flow direction of air blowers 3 and 4.

At the same time, at least one of them must be open at all times, otherwise the cooling device may freeze.

General recommendations

To ensure normal operation of the heating and ventilation systems, make sure that the air intake cavities located in front of the windshield are not covered with snow, leaves or ice.

The air blower fan should operate at low speed.

To prevent polluted outside air from entering the passenger compartment, set switch a to position - 0. At the same time, keep in mind that long-term blocking of air access causes fogging of the glass, which should be avoided.

The intensity of the cabin heating depends on the temperature of the coolant. This means that the maximum temperature can only be achieved with a well-warmed engine.

Rotary controls B and C can be set to any intermediate position.

Used air is blown out of the passenger compartment through the ventilation slots located in the center in front of the rear window. Make sure that they are not covered by the objects being transported.

Recommendations for air conditioner maintenance

Remember! The air conditioner turns on automatically only when the air temperature is about +5°C. At lower temperatures, its use is simply impractical.

The air conditioner reduces not only the temperature, but also the humidity in the cabin, and prevents the windows from fogging up. If the temperature drops too much and it gets cold, the temperature is leveled by turning the regulator 2 to the right.

When the air conditioner is running, all windows and the ventilation hatch must be closed.

If the interior of a stationary vehicle has become very hot due to high outside temperatures, you should open all doors and windows for a while before the engine starts to blow to allow the hot air to escape.

Please note! Condensed water is discharged from the air conditioner to the outside. Therefore, a puddle may form under the car when it is parked. This is normal and not a sign of poor sealing of the body.

The air conditioner must be checked regularly and cleaned of accumulated dirt. It is best to wash it with water.

Under extreme engine loads, when the coolant becomes very hot, the air conditioner may automatically turn off for a while.

With the installation of an air conditioner, which weighs about 40 kg, the unladen weight of the car increases accordingly. See section "Technical specifications". If the air conditioner does not work, there may be one of two reasons:
  • outside air temperature below + 5°C
  • the fuse has blown. Check and replace if necessary.

In case of other damages, for example after an accident, or if it is depressurized, immediately turn it off and do not turn it on again. Requires special maintenance.
