Power is supplied to consumers by means of a wire, which is always connected to the battery in a more or less complicated way, as can be seen from the electrical diagrams. The return circuit is provided by the conductive metal elements of the body or engine. In most cases, a short section of cable is still needed for the return circuit - namely, where the consumer of electricity is not located directly on the metal. For this purpose, there is a certain number of so-called "mass" points distributed throughout the body. The negative pole of the battery is also, of course, connected to the body, "mass", as auto electricians say. So remember - "minus to mass".
