Power is supplied to current consumers by means of a wire, which is always connected to the battery in a more or less complicated way, as can be seen from the wiring diagrams. The return circuit is provided by electrically conductive metal elements of the body or engine. In most cases, a short length of cable is still needed for the return circuit - namely, where the consumer of electricity is not located directly on the metal. To do this, there is - distributed throughout the body - a certain number of so-called points «masses». The negative pole of the battery is also, of course, connected to the body, «weight», as auto electricians say. So remember - «minus to weight».
