Note: The ceiling is glued directly to the metal of the car roof and if it is removed, it must be replaced with a new one.
Removal
Remove sun visors.
Remove the ceiling lock with a lever.
Remove the side rails.
Move aside the windshield pillar trim.
Move the rear seat forward.
Remove the rear seat back.
Remove the rear roof pillar trim.
Cut the ceiling along its entire length into strips approximately 100 mm wide and tear them away from the roof, taking care not to deform it.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the roof surface from dirt and adhesive residue.
Cover the new ceiling with a layer of adhesive such as AKL 407 000 05 (glue consumption is approximately 400 g with a layer thickness of 2-3 mm).
Note: The air temperature during the gluing operation should not be lower than 20°C. The setting time of the glue is approximately 10 minutes.
Bring the ceiling into the car interior and secure it in the upper position on the front and rear pillars.
Using a paint roller, glue the ceiling to the roof, rolling the roller from the center to the periphery.
Secure the trim into the upper recesses of the door openings and release the gasket.
Insert the windshield lock.
Perform the operations listed in the "Removal" section in reverse order.
