Note. The ceiling is glued directly to the metal of the roof of the car and, if removed, must be replaced with a new one.
Withdrawal
Remove sun shields.
Remove the ceiling lock with a lever.
Remove side rails.
Pull back the windshield pillar trim.
Move the rear seat forward.
Remove the rear seat back.
Remove rear roof pillar trim.
Cut the ceiling along its entire length into strips about 100 mm wide and tear them off the roof, taking care not to deform it.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the roof surface from dirt and adhesive residues.
Cover the new ceiling with a layer of adhesive type AKL 407 000 05 (adhesive consumption is approximately 400 g with a layer thickness of 2-3 mm).
Note. The air temperature during the gluing operation must be at least 20°C. The setting time of the adhesive is approximately 10 minutes.
Bring the ceiling into the passenger compartment and fix it in the upper position on the front and rear pillars.
Using a paint roller, glue the ceiling to the roof, rolling the roller from the center to the periphery.
Fasten the trim in the upper recesses of the doorways and release the gasket.
Insert the windshield lock.
Carry out in reverse order the operations listed in paragraph «Withdrawal».
