1. Knock sensor I "G61": contacts are gold-plated.
2. Coil with final stage: Coil 1 with output stage "N70". Coil 2 with output stage "N127". Coil 3 with output stage "N291". Coil 4 with output stage "N292"; to remove, use the "T40039" puller.
3. Spark plugs: 30 Nm.
4. Bolt: 20 Nm; the tightening torque affects the operation of the knock sensor.
5. Bolt: 10 Nm.
6. Hall sensor "G40": contacts are gold-plated.
7. O-ring: replace the seal. ring if damaged.
Removal and installation coils with end stages
Remove the engine cover. Remove both screws from the connector block. Using the T40039 puller, remove all coils approximately 30 cm from the coil socket. Unlock the plug and simultaneously disconnect all connectors from the coils.

Install
Insert all coils loosely into the spark plug sockets.

Align the ignition coils with the connectors and simultaneously insert all connectors into the coils. Press the coils evenly onto the spark plugs with your hand (do not use percussion instruments).
Removal the knock sensor 1 "G61"
Disconnect the electrical connector from knock sensor 1 "G61" 2. Remove the coolant pump with thermostat. Knock sensor I "G61" is located inside the intake manifold behind the coolant pump. Unscrew knock sensor I "G61".

Installation in reverse order.
Removal and installation the engine speed sensor "G28"
Disconnect the connector from the "G28" engine speed sensor "2" using the "T10118" installation tool. To release the electrical connector without the "T10118" installation tool, press in the engine speed sensor connector with a screwdriver while simultaneously lifting the release button with a thin, bent wire. Unscrew the mounting bolts "1" using a 4 mm socket wrench "T10370".

Installation in reverse order.
Ignition system
Control data
| Engine specifications | 2.0L Turbo-FSi engine |
| Idle speed. The speed is not set, it is regulated by stabilizing the idle speed | 640...800 rpm |
| Limiting the speed by disabling the injectors or closing the throttle valve | approx. 6500 rpm |
| The ignition timing is determined in the control unit. Changing the ignition timing is not possible | |
| Ignition system | Ignition system with 4 separate ignition coils (with integrated output stages), which are directly connected to the spark plugs via spark plug connectors. Ignition coils can be removed from the cylinder head using the puller "T40039" |
| Firing order | 1-3-4-2 |
