1. The turbocharger's boost pressure must decrease when the throttle valve is closed (i.e. with the gas pedal released). Otherwise, the air accumulation would slow down the compressor's rotation speed. To prevent this, the valve opens the bypass channel. Due to this, the air goes to the suction side, and the compressor maintains its rotation speed.
2. If the gas pedal is depressed again, the traction control valve immediately closes. The boost operates at full speed and can immediately supply compressed air. If the boost only picked up speed, it would be impossible to spontaneously gain power - the engine would have the famous "turbo hole".
Checking the traction cut-off valve
If the engine experiences a noticeable slowdown in power increase after the thrust phase, the cause may be the thrust cut-off valve. Perform the following check:
1. Remove the draft shut-off valve.
2. Connect a vacuum pump to the thin control hose of the traction control valve or suck it vigorously with your mouth.
3. The draft shut-off valve should open, which is clearly visible through the hose connection points.
4. Maintain the reduced pressure for 30 seconds if possible (if necessary, bend the hose).
5. The draft shut-off valve must remain in this position at this time.
6. Open the hose again: the draft shut-off valve should close.
7. The damper in the draft shut-off valve must open and close easily and fit tightly in every situation.
8. Installation: The draft shut-off valve must be secured with screw clamps at all hose connection points.
