Checking the boost pressure limiting solenoid valve
1. Hose routing: First check whether all hoses are connected to the valve correctly.
2. Disconnect the valve connector.
3. Connect an accurate ohmmeter to both contacts of the valve connector.
4. The ohmmeter should show 25-35 ohms, otherwise the boost pressure limiting solenoid valve is faulty.
5. Supply voltage: connect a voltmeter to contact 1 of the disconnected connector and to ground.
6. Operate the starter: the voltmeter should show battery voltage, otherwise there is a conductivity problem in the wires or the fuel pump relay is faulty.

The arrow shows the crankcase ventilation pressure limiting valve.

Under the mentioned pressure limiting valve you can see the following parts: 1 – vacuum box of the boost pressure control valve; 2 – draft shut-off valve; 3 – electromagnetic valve for limiting the boost pressure.
