Execution order
1. Brake fluid is poisonous. Therefore, do not touch it with your mouth or open wounds.
2. Brake fluid corrodes car paint. Therefore, do not place rags soaked in brake fluid or tools stained with it on the paint.
3. When a brake hose or brake pipe is loosened, brake fluid will gradually leak out of the expansion tank. Prevent this by doing the following: Before loosening the screw connection in the corresponding brake circuit, loosen the bleed screw. Attach the bleed hose and lower it into the container. Fully depress the brake pedal and secure it in this position with a wooden board. This will close the fluid supply holes in the brake master cylinder and no more brake fluid will leak out.
4. To loosen and tighten the brake pipes, you must buy the shown brake pipe wrench
5. To press the brake hoses in the opposite direction, you need an open-end wrench.
6. After work has been carried out on the hydraulics of the brake system, it is always necessary to bleed it. It is often sufficient to bleed only the brake circuit on which the work was carried out.
Removal brake pipes
1. Unscrew the union nut of the brake pipe. Hold the opposite connection securely, for example, at the end of the brake hose.
2. If the nut on the tube is rusted and does not rotate, then in any case the tube needs to be replaced. Thin-walled tubes break off quickly.
3. The following advice may help to unscrew the connecting parts of the tubes if this piece of tube needs to be replaced anyway:
4. Cut off the brake pipe near the screw connection, unscrew the union nut with a hex key.
5. Place the brake pipes in the spacer brackets provided for them.
Removal brake hoses
1. First, unscrew the union nut of the corresponding brake hose. Make sure that the hose does not twist.
2. If the brake hose is attached to the body with a metal bracket, then it is fixed with a metal clamp to prevent shifting. When assembling, do not forget about this so-called hose bracket.
3. When installing, always first screw the hose where it has an external thread.
4. Then tighten the other screw connection.
5. The brake hose must not be twisted. A colored strip or rubber roller along the hose serves as a control.
6. Bleed the brake system.
7. Immediately after the repair, check whether the hose will rub anywhere during shock-absorbing movements.
8. Repeat this check after a long trip.
