Her reasons

Your help
|
A. Brakes pull on one side | 1. Tire pressure is not the same
2. Tread pattern worn unevenly 3. Polluted «glazed» or pads worn unevenly 4. The pad guides in the brake caliper are dirty or rusty 5. Rusted pistons in brake calipers or wheel cylinders 6. Brake discs are badly scratched or too thin 7. Brake hoses swollen from the inside |
Align with cold tires
Change your tires Replace brush Restore free play or replace Replace brake discs Replace hoses |
B. Brakes squeal | 1. Wrong pads installed
2. Dust or dirt on disc brakes or drum brakes 3. See A 4-6 |
Install original pads
Dismantle the lining (pads), remove dust and dirt |
C. Brakes rumble | 1. There is a dent in the brake disc
2. The brake disc is badly scratched |
Replace

D. One or all of the wheel brakes become very hot | 1. Compensating hole in the main brake cylinder is clogged
2. No gap between the brake pedal (push rod) and pistons of the main brake cylinder 3. Rusted brake calipers 4. The handbrake does not fully disengage |
Cleanse
Adjust
|
E. Too much pedal travel reserve, pedal is depressed soft and springy |
1. Air in the brake system
2. Brake system is leaking 3. Faulty brake master cylinder 4. When the brakes are heavily loaded, steam bubbles form in a too old brake fluid 5. See A 5 |
Bleed the brake system
Perform a system leak test Replace Change brake fluid |
F. Poor braking effect when pedaling hard | 1. Normal pedal free play: oily or «glazed» overlays
2. Short pedal free play: brake booster defective 3. Long pedal free play: one brake circuit failed due to leaks |
Replace
Check Check, replace damaged parts |
G. One-sided or weak braking effect of the manual brakes | 1. See points in A
