Repair of rear window heating element (Audi 100 C3)

Using a tester or test lamp, make sure that voltage is supplied to the "+" and "-" contacts of the rear window heating element.

Clean the break area with cellulose or similar solvent.

Prepare a template: cut a rectangular hole in a strip of self-adhesive cardboard the width of the damaged heating element thread.

Glue a strip of cardboard onto the thread so that the break is in the center of the rectangular hole.

Fill the hole in the cardboard with conductive glue and remove the cardboard template after 20 minutes.

Allow the glue to harden for 24 hours.

Check the functionality of the rear window heating element.
