Remove the air intake box.
Remove the air intake box.I 1. Foam polymer seal. For insulation of the fresh air intake shaft to the car, glued to the air intake shaft; 2. Air intake shaft. With air intake flap, fresh air and recirculation. Do not disassemble into parts; 3. Disc cam. Drives the air intake and fresh air flaps via 2 levers. Lightly lubricate the disc cam guides and the journals on the flap levers (e.g. with solid lubricating paste "G 000 150"; 4. Air intake flap servomotor "V71"; 5. Screw; 6. Air recirculation flap servo drive "V113"; 7. Clamp. For coupling the air intake box with the air conditioner; 8. Upper part of the air intake box. Do not disassemble. Depending on the design of the original part, the upper and lower parts are connected with bolts at the screwing points or the upper part is welded to the lower part at various points. The upper and lower parts of the air intake box are currently supplied as separate parts as a spare part. Assemble both parts, then connect them with bolts at the designated points. If one of the tongues breaks or one of the welding points breaks off, both body elements can be connected with bolts. Various designs (with and without glove box cooling pipe), this figure shows the version without the glove box cooling pipe; 9. Lower part of the air intake box. If one of the tongues breaks or one of the welding points breaks off, both body elements can be connected with bolts; 10. Fresh air fan "V2". Check: VAS 5051 tester in "Guided Fault Finding" mode. Since 08.2007, the fresh air fan "V2" with additional foam housing shell has been gradually installed (to reduce noise). Starting with the 2009 model year, the "V2" fresh air fan with a modified housing is gradually introduced (optimized electric motor with modified motor bracket). When using the modified "V2" there is no need for the foam body element, but due to the enlarged engine bracket, modified sound insulation is installed; 11. Used supply fan "J126"; 12. Cabin filter. Observe replacement intervals. Various designs (with and without absorbent filter); 13. Cabin filter cover; 14. Insulation mat. Various designs depending on the design of the supply air fan "V2"; 15. Screw clamp; 16. Fasteners on the upper part of the air intake box; 17. Make-up point
