Air conditioners come in various designs (for cars with climate control, "Komfort" or "Basis" installation, etc.).
Instructions. In this car, programming and control of various actuators of the climate control system is performed via the data bus. By means of this bus (Lin-Bus), the actuators are connected in series to the climate control unit, the Climatronic control unit "J255". This procedure is different for different versions of the air conditioner. Depending on the production date, there are different versions of the lever and the connecting element on the air conditioner.
Elements of the air conditioner and air intake box of the "Basis" version

1. Air intake box. Various designs (with or without glove box cooling pipe); 2. Air conditioner with evaporator (version "Basis"). Remove only with the air conditioner circuit emptied, deliver the car to a workshop that has the necessary equipment and trained qualified personnel. Clean the air conditioner evaporator using the ultrasonic device for cleaning air conditioners "VAS 6189"; 3. Air recirculation flap servo drive "V113"; 4. Air intake flap servomotor "V71"; 5. Heat exchanger pipes; 6. Expansion valve; 7. Bushing. For insulating the hole for refrigerant pipes through the rear wall of the water drain box; 8. Cover of refrigerant pipes to the evaporator.; 9. Defrost flap servomotor "V107"; 10. Footwell flap actuator "V261"; 11. Condensate drain connection on the left (from the driver's side).; 12. Executive electric motor of air temperature control flap "V68"; 13. Footwell vent temperature sensor "G192"; 14. Temperature sensor center, deflector "G191"; 15. Connecting the climate control and display unit, installation, control unit for Climatronic "J255" to the wiring harness; 16. Used supply fan "J126"; 17. Execution drive center, air conditioner deflector "V102"; 18. Condensate drain connection on the right (from the front passenger side); 19. Evaporator; 20. Heat exchanger of the heating system; 21. Additional heater heating element "Z35" / honeycomb element. Additional heater heating element "Z35" is installed on cars with diesel engines. On cars with petrol engines (without additional heater heating element "Z35"), a honeycomb element is installed to fill the free space (this ensures the same air flows in the air conditioner with and without additional heater heating element "Z35"). If an independent heater is installed as an additional heater on a car with diesel engines (additional equipment), then here it is not the heating element of the additional heater "Z35" that is used, but a cellular element (the question of use remains open). Check the operation of the heating element for the additional heater "Z35". In the model year 2009, a heating element for the additional heater "Z35" is gradually installed in a modified design (narrower design of the heating element), pay attention to correct execution and compliance; 22. Additional heater heating element "Z35" is installed on cars with diesel engines. On cars with gasoline engines (without additional heater heating element "Z35"), a honeycomb element is installed to fill the free space (this ensures the same air flows in the air conditioner with and without additional heater heating element "Z35"). If an independent heater is installed as an additional heater on a car with diesel engines, (additional equipment), then here it is not the heating element of the additional heater "Z35" that is used, but a cellular element (the question of use remains open).
